Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:14AM Wow 2012 done and dusted...and it was a good year, mabye even a great year, full of highs! Of course a fair share of stress too, planning a wedding in London, going to a wedding in Australia and trying to fit in a few holidays here and there plus hold down the jobs, phew, exhausting!
Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 12:56PM Ok so that needs a bit of an explanation, I am back at work, my retirement sadly retired. It was a good trial and I think I will retire again one day, infact, I highly recommend it. The only real problem with retirement was worrying about how quickly saved money turns into gone money…jobs are quite useful for hiding this phenomenon.
Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 9:45PM Part of relaxing a bit is cooking up some yummy food. I had two culinary adventures over the last two weeks. I made my first ever Mexican mole dish and then followed it up with an attempt at a ‘Polynesian Crab Stack’ which is a dish I had years ago at a restaurant in San Diego. I would like to report that both were smash successes but I can’t.
Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1:55PM Putting up the tree and decorating it triggered some long buried childhood memories. I suddenly remembered Fisher Price Adventure people. If you don’t know what these are I am feel very sorry for you and marvel over how well adjusted you have turned out despite your obviously deprived youth.
Friday, November 20, 2009 at 1:35PM Ok so this update is a bit overdue. I have a good excuse though, there was a three and a half week holiday in Australia over this period…then of course there is the necessary ‘decompression’ time getting over the holiday and back into the daily grind! (Ok so my daily grind is not really that grinding but it still takes some adjustment, the crappy wet cold weather is not easy to get used to!)
