La Boca (May 6, 2006)
Breakfast was included at the hotel, so we enjoyed a nice all-you-can-eat buffet of eggs, cereal, fruit, croissants, etc. We left the hotel around 11:00 and went to the Internet café until noon , when we told Adam and Andrea we would be back at their place. We arrived and they weren´t there, but they showed up a few minutes later. They had gone to Roger´s place for dinner last night and ended up sleeping over. Lincoln wasn´t feeling well and had a head cold coming on, but I gave him some drugs and he was well enough for us all to go to La Boca. There was a bus directly from Plaza Congreso to La Boca, which was very convenient. This neighbourhood is in one of the seedier areas of Buenos Aires , and also the home of the Boca Juniors, but the area we walked around is a touristy section with colourful houses, caricature statues, an artists market, and outdoor cafes. There were some painters that were painting a mural of the Boca team on the side of the wall so we watched them for a while. They were doing a really good job. We walked around for a while, then had lunch at a restaurant (the first one we sat down at was way too expensive, so we left and found another more affordable one). I bought a small painting at one of the stalls, and Roger bought one from a different stall. He is going to display them at his apartment and then bring them back to England for us.
After La Boca we went back to Adam and Andrea´s for a while, Adam went to play squash. When he got home we got ready for dinner. Andrea lent me some clothes again, and some fancy boots and jewellery. Adam has some wigs that he likes to bring out once in while, so we all had a go with them, even Poochie. He wanted us to wear them out to the restaurant but we declined! We went to Milion, which is a pretty nice place further down Parana . The upstairs had nice décor, but there weren´t any tables for five of us so we went downstairs. It wasn´t quite as nice but the food was good. Some friends of Adam and Andrea´s arrived later and we had a nice chat with them. They had a car, and the seven of us squeezed into it for a ride home. Throughout dinner my throat started getting more and more sore, meaning Lincoln had given me his cold!

Ran into Mike and Charlene over the weekend, they have bought a house (different from the one they were talking about at Kendra's) and are trying to sell their existing digs. Good on them. Unfortunatley they got a little water in their basement (first time ever) on the day of their open house :(
